About Our Chapter

Our Volunteers

Two women and four children that serve as host familiesWe are currently growing our team of volunteers across the Monterey Bay area. Volunteers serve a variety of roles including hosting children or providing services such as transportation, parent mentoring, and supply tangible items such as diapers, car seats, and meals.

Our Board

Board members from the community build connections with our partners, plan outreach events, and provide input on the growth and sustainability of Safe Families for Children Monterey Bay.

  • Sylvia Salinas  Supervising Child Support Specialist in Santa Cruz County.
  • Eric Brown Retired Correctional Officer in Santa Cruz County and Combat Veteran in the US Air Force. 
  • Adrian Moreno – Pastor of Connections and Young Families at Twin Lakes Church
  • Yolanda Beaudoin Children’s Director at Twin Lakes Church
  • Kaitlin Childs Family Children Services Social Worker
  • Judith Canner –  Statistics professor and Department Chair at CSUMB

Our Staff

Our amazing volunteers are the ones who take the Safe Families for Children movement into the community, but they cannot do it alone. They are supported by a staff of professionals passionately investing their lives in engaging their community, building the base of volunteers, supporting parents and children in crisis, and much more.
